Why we struggle...

Ryan Bodanyi: "I'm involved because I believe in equality, corporate accountability, and human rights. It's very simple -- if we don't hold Dow accountable for Bhopal or fight for the value of human life, there will be more Bhopals, just as surely as the sun will rise tomorrow. If we cannot win justice for the dead, how can we ensure justice for the living?"

Shiny Mathew: "I am involved in the Bhopal struggle because the people of Bhopal have been waiting for justice for far too long and it is time that corporations, like Union Carbide/Dow Chemical, are held accountable for their criminal acts and lack of moral and ethical responsibility. We all need to fight together for a just and equitable society, where every human life is respected and valued."

Samip Mallick: "Being involved in the struggle and learning more about what happened in Bhopal in 1984 and since then has taught me about how much violence is committed against our bodies on a daily basis because of toxic chemicals that exist in all of our surroundings. This struggle, for me, is about saying "Stop! No more!" I refuse to accept that ridiculously high rates of cancer, weakened immune systems and birth defects are part of the price that we pay for shampoos and saran wrap."
