The strategic framework for Business & Finance was developed and discussed with the Business & Finance group during the Fall of 2004.
- Develop leading practices in the recruitment, retention and development of outstanding faculty and staff.
- Integrate the benefits and wellness strategies to assure effective stewardship of university resources and support the well-being of the UM community.
- Strengthen internal controls and improve the financial management of Employment, Procurement and Cash Handling.
- Implement Business Intelligence Strategic recommendations that were agreed upon by the schools and colleges, Health System, and administrative units.
- Implement the Information Technology Security Program.
- Design and implement Enterprise Wide systems (E-research and Development).
- Support the Provost’s Space Utilization Project.
- Implement Major Capital Projects (Residential Life Initiative, Children and Women’s, Stadium).
- Begin six point Environmental and Energy Initiative.
