Affymetrix and Microarray Core Facility
Welcome to the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMCCC) Affymetrix and Microarray Core Facility. The facility is located on the seventh floor of the Cancer Center, in 7410 CCGC on the University of Michigan's medical campus. The core is available campus wide.
News:
ALL total RNA samples submitted to core need to be evaluated on the Agilent 2100 BioAnalyzer prior to being run on Affy or PCR arrays.
2/15/2007: The Core offers service for targeted PCR arrays from SuperArray. These pathway specific commercial arrays are only $80 (processing is $100) when purchased in the core. Click on the Pathway Arrays link to the left for more details.
2/15/2007: Affymetrix releases 500k Mapping GeneChip (single chip) which includes 500k SNPs and ~400k non-polymorphic probes (for copy number analysis/LOH). UMCCC Affymetrix core offers full service processing on Afffymetrix DNA Mapping arrays. For more info regarding these arrays, click here.
Small Sample Prep: The Core will process RNA samples from as little as 20ng total RNA using the NuGen Ovation Biotin labeling system.
Available in the Core: ABI 7900HT real time PCR instrument. Run real time PCR and/or SNP assays. Call or email to set up a time or for any questions.
Agilent 2100 BioAnalyzer: Available for RNA, DNA, Protien quality/quantity determinations. NanoDrop UV/Vis Spectrophotometer service included with RNA nano.
