
The Community College Student Transfer Program
This new initiative is designed to provide prospective and current transfer students with a range of support services. In collaboration with other campus units, CEW offers programming aimed at empowering participants to develop to their fullest potential, accomplish their academic goals and reach their career aspirations. The CCTS program reflects the inclusive values of the University of Michigan and its commitment to meet the needs of a diverse campus population
Program Goals: To help all students identify and foster an awareness of the possibilities for academic success, and to promote positive professional and personal development.
Programs Offered:
Open House: for all community college transfers each semester.
Speakers and discussion groups: on relevant topics of concern to community college transfers.\
Programs offered by CEW
Services at CEW
CEW offers a welcoming, supportive environment in which to explore educational, professional and situational issues. Our senior counseling staff is highly trained in assisting students during their adjustment phase and beyond.
Free counseling: educational and career counseling; specific referrals to units outside CEW and community resources.
Scholarships: CEW competitive scholarships for returning students; and information on scholarships available outside CEW.
Small emergency fund: funding is available to students facing serious and unexpected financial problems, who meet our eligibility requirements.
