Global Intercultural Experience for Undergraduates (GIEU) -offers 1st and 2nd year students a summer research experience with a UM faculty member.
Language Resource Center (LRC) - provides resources that support foreign language study. Office of International Programs (OIP) -coordinates UM Study Abroad programs. Overseas Opportunities Office (OOO) -provides information & advising about travel, service and work abroad. Also houses UM Peace Corps office.
Ginsberg Center for Community Service & Learning - find UM service organizations & opportunties, including service-learning courses. Program on Intergroup Relations (IGR) - offers multidisciplinary courses on social justice issues & opportunities to facilitate intergroup dialogues both in and outside the classroom.
International Institute - learn about UM's area study centers, international research projects & initiatives, & funding for study or research abroad.
Michigan in Washington Program (MIW) -offers courses and internships in Washington, DC during Fall or Winter Term. Open to all majors but must have sophomore standing to apply. The Career Center - provides career counseling & services for students and alumni. Don't wait for senior year to check out their activities! |
