Epilepsy

Causes:

 Caused by evil spirits and recognized by violent shaking movments.


Recipe:

 

For epilepsy in a child, "the brain of a mountain goat was to be drawn though a golden ring, and the "given to the child to swallow before it tastes milk" (13).

For adults, epilepsy is associated with sex. Sweet marjoram can be used to dull the desire for sex and castration is a common ritual used to treat epilepsy.
