- To assist patrons so that they can best utilize resources available both for their academic and co-curricular activities.
- To provide a centralized source of comprehensive information to assist patrons in dealing with the size and complexity of the University.
- To facilitate appropriate use of University offices, services, and facilities by patrons.
- To provide accurate and timely information about the University events, organizations, and activities.
- To serve as rumor control, disseminating emergency information to the campus community.
- To be identified as the central information and referral centers on campus.
- To provide all services through a variety of easily accessible media, including: print, phone, personal contact, electronic mail, and the World Wide Web.
- To provide paraprofessional employment and learning opportunities for students through a comprehensive staff selection, training, supervision, and evaluation program.
Our Mission
To help fulfill the needs of University of Michigan students, staff, faculty, alumni, prospective students, and visitors by providing accurate and timely information about campus resources, services and events. To provide service to University departments and organizations by acquainting others with the various offices and assisting in their appropriate use.
Our Goals
A University of Michigan where information is comprehensive, up-to-date and accessible in one centralized location via multiple media. This information will be available to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors and shared in a manner indicative of excellent customer service.
