Instructions for Completing the Online Application

There are two stages to completing the online application for admission. You will first complete the general admission application using the online tools at Embark.com, the University of Michigan's partner in online admissions. This process replaces the printed forms from the Rackham Graduate School.   We no longer have paper applications that can be sent out.   Note that your application fee of $75.00 will be waived if you are a US citizen or a permanent resident. Please make sure not to use your current school lab address as your Current Address on the application as we have had problems communicating with applicants who have done so. Please use your home or apartment address.

You should review the Rackham Graduate School's Admissions website.   Rackham oversees all graduate doctoral programs at the University. Their website will provide valuable information about the application process and their requirements.   Their website is at http://www.rackham.umich.edu/Recruitment/prospective.html .

Proceed to the Rackham Graduate School online application process Be sure to indicate on the application your Subplan, otherwise your application will not be considered complete.
