Nicholas A. Theisen

Program in Comparative Literature
Department of Classical Studies
University of Michigan

I am currently a lecturer in the Department of Classical Studies with a Ph.D. in Comparative literature. My languages of specialization are Latin, Greek, and Japanese; and I have strong research interests in comics, comparative poetics, textuality, and visual rhetoric. If you would like to see examples of some of my work , please visit The Mimesis Project, or you can view the multimedia translation of the fragments of Sulipicia I completed in 2004 and for which I received a prize in the Context for Classics translation contest. Both sites require the Macromedia Flash 5 Plugin. Not much else here, I'm afraid. You can view my resume or email me at ntheisen@umich.edu.
