Correctly position the inhaler comfortably in the hand.
The metal canister should be upright with the thumb securely on the bottom and the first or second finger securely placed in the concave top. The hand and fingers should be dry.
If the grip is not secure or if the hand is wet, the inhaler may slip out the hand during the activation step and may hit the lips and/or the teeth.
If the inhaler is positioned upside down, the metered valve will not fill correctly and the dose will not be accurate.
