Begin a rapid, steady breath in through your mouth only.

Continue breathing in to completely fill your lungs with air.

If there is too much air in your lungs prior to inhaling, most of the powder medication will deposit in the mouth, throat and upper airways instead of your lungs.

The dose of medication is a very fine, dry powder in a small quantity. You will not feel it in any way as you breathe in.

The powder contains a small amount of lactose (milk sugar) that will taste sweet. This will let you know that you have received the medication.
