Here are the requirements you will need to fulfill in order to rush:
1) Have at least a 3.0 GPA
2) Have at least 12 college credits
3) Attend a mass meeting
4) Attend the speed interviews
5) Attend at least one rush event
6) Attend a Formal Interview
Mass Meeting:
Date & Venue:
Jan 22th (Venue: Anderson Room, Michigan Union)
Jan 23th (Venue: Henderson Room, Michigan League)
Time: 7pm
Purpose: For you to find out more about Phi Sigma Pi and to understand the rush process. Attend ONE
Speed Interviews:
Date: Jan 29th
Time: 7pm
Venue: Koessler Room, Michigan League
Purpose: For the brothers to get to know you. Attendance is COMPULSORY.
Rush Events:
1) 5K Kick-off with UM Stars!
Date: Jan 26
Time: 12pm
Venue: Anderson Room, Michigan Union
2) Ice Cream Social
Date: Jan 28
Time: 7pm
Venue: South Quad: Club 600 Room
Attend at least one rush event.
Formal Interviews:
Date: Feb 2
Venue: Welker Room, Michigan Union
Time: 2pm onward & by appointment
Purpose: You will be interviewed by members of the E-board for 10-15 mins. Attendance is COMPULSORY.
Rush FAQ:
If I am already in a fraternity/sorority, am I still eligible to join Phi Sigma Pi?
Ans: Yes you are! Since Phi Sigma Pi is not social Greek organization, therefore there will be no conflict of interest.
If I am unable to attend the mass meetings/speed interviews/one brother event, what should I do?
Ans: Please contact our rush advisor Katie. schkatie@umich.edu
I am a freshman, am I eligible to rush?
Ans: Yes! As long as you have 12 college level credits and a GPA of at least 3.0, you are eligible to rush.
