Undergraduates can play a pivotal role in shaping a university's bioethical curricula and promoting bioethical discourse on campus and in the community. As the only undergraduate bioethics group at the University of Michigan, Students Exploring the Life Sciences and Society SELSS is devoted to expanding the undergraduate's role and knowledge in the bioethical field.

Our group is as diverse as a student body, with not only future scientists, but also engineers, musicians, aspiring lawyers and physicians. SELSS is currently expanding its bioethics outreach program and support from the Life Sciences, Values, and Society Program and various faculty allows us to organize and hold informative seminars, thoughtful interdisciplinary debates and other unique activities on campus.
