Superhuman Powers: Rogue possesses the ability to absorb the memories and physical abilities of others through physical contact. She absorbed the powers of the original Ms. Marvel and thus has the ability to fly, super strength, and invinsibility.
Biography: Little is known about Rogue's life before she first discovered her powers. Her real name is not even revealed in the comics, although her parents called her Marie in the movie. She uncovered her powers one day while kissing a boy and causing him to lose consciousness. After this episode, she ran away. She later joined the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants where Mystique became like a mother and watcher to her. During an evil mission arranged by Mystique, a power transfer went wrong and she gained the powers of Ms. Marvel permanently. Afterwards, she fled to Professor Xavier and begged him to help her control her powers. Professor Xavier obliged and admitted her to the X-Men on a provisional basis. She then proved herself loyal and trustworthy to the group,a nd they in turn supported her and helped her gain some level of peace of mind. She still has yet to learn to control her powers.
