Make your hotel reservations by May 1, 2008 to secure special conference rates. After that date, rates and availability cannot be guaranteed. Blocks of rooms have been held at hotels listed below, most within a few blocks of campus and others within a short driving distance.

Contact the hotel directly and unless otherwise noted, mention the Enriching the Academic Experience of College Science Students conference or Science Learning Center conference.

Conference participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodations. There are many other hotel choices in Ann Arbor and you may wish to explore other options. However, we recommend making your reservation soon, as there are often multiple events occurring in the city at the same time.

Outdoor and indoor pools, wireless internet, free parking, exercise facility, continental breakfast included. Located an easy three-mile drive from University of Michigan campus. (On-campus guest parking will be available during the conference for $1.10 per hour.) Taxi service available for approximately $10 -$12 per ride.

Public bus service from hotel to campus is also available. The stop nearest to the Best Western is on the south side of Jackson Ave. at Mason Ave. (across the street from the Best Western). Ride Route 9 into the downtown transit center. The bus will hold for about 3 minutes at the transit center, and will then set out to complete Route 4 (no transferring to another is necessary). Ride the Route 4 bus to the stop on Huron St. directly behind the Rackham Building. You will then need to walk a half-block east to Fletcher St., and 2 blocks south to the League.

On the return trip, you will need to wait for the Route 4 bus at the stop on the opposite side of Huron St. from where you got off the bus earlier. You will ride the bus downtown, where it will hold and become a Route 9 bus. You will then need to ride Route 9 around to the same stop where they got on to begin the trip (the route is a one-way loop at that point).

Other Hotel Choices

There are many other hotel choices in Ann Arbor, with which we have not arranged for conference pricing. You may be interested in checking some of them out including: Comfort Inn, Fairfield Inn and Hampton Inn South. A check of a web-based hotel reservation system such as hotels.com or expedia.com will also yield further hotel choices.
