authored by another or derived from someone else's work,
in which case the original copyright applies.
You may pick up the whole collection
but changes are made on a frequent basis.
You will want to pick up the latest copy of the (Open)SSL(eay) library from
openssl.org
which has taken over maintenance of the library,
now that Tim and Eric have gone to work for RSA (:()
