The Apotheosis of Homer (apotheosis means 'the process of becoming a God')

The sculpture was created by Archelaos out of marble .  It is divided into three main sections with Zeus reigning over everyone below.

Magnification of the bottom left of the sculpture.  Homer is depicted holding a scroll and a scepter.  The two people crowning him are "Chronos" (Time) and "Oikumene" (World).
