Robo mapping

A remote-controlled Segway robot, developed by a U-M electrical engineering doctoral student, creates a four-dimensional map of campus. It uses a camera and laser scanner to gather information about environmental changes due to construction, traffic, weather, day and night, and the seasons. Similar projects were highlighted recently at U-M's Robotics Day 2012.
