This year the Port Huron Statement, a manifesto written by the Students for a Democratic Society that called on activists to revolutionize society, turns 50. Scholars and alumni will discuss its impact at a campus conference titled, “A New Insurgency: The Port Huron Statement in Its Time and Ours,” which takes place Oct 31-Nov 2.
