Preserving early American history

The U-M Board of Regents approved a $6 million donation from Avenir Foundation to the William L. Clements Library, one of the country’s preeminent repositories of historical Americana. The gift, which is the largest given to the library in its 90-year history, will be used for building renovations and the expansion of its collections space.
