Capturing cancer

U-M engineering and medical researchers have developed a nano-roughened glass plate that cancer cells adhere to at greater rates than non-cancerous cells. This device could help improve cancer diagnosis and prognosis by allowing researchers to isolate live circulating tumor cells in order to study their biological and physical properties.
