U-M’s nationally ranked Cardiovascular Center (CVC), a leader in heart valve replacement, recently performed its first minimally invasive aortic valve replacement. The CVC is among 40 sites in the nation selected for a study examining alternatives to open heart surgery for patients with severe aortic stenosis.
