The sustainable difference
In 2010, U-M’s Planet Blue initiative helped save $5.2 million in utility costs for 67 buildings on campus. Many new U-M buildings are now being constructed with sustainability measures right from the start. North Quad was designed to be 30 percent more energy efficient than state code requires.
