U-M alumni top volunteers

U-M is not only the birthplace of the U.S. Peace Corps, we ranked third for amount of undergraduate alumni volunteers from large colleges and universities for 2011. Michigan is ranked fourth for all time volunteers since 1961.

Go with the flow?

A recent Saturday Morning Physics lecture explored the possibilities of creating clean, renewable, and affordable energy from water. Sponsored by the U-M Department of Physics, this series provides an opportunity for the general public to hear physicists discuss their work in easy-to-understand terms.

U-M’s biggest supporter

A. Alfred Taubman and his wife, Judy, are greeted with cheers as they enter a celebration in honor of his latest gift to the A. Alfred Taubman Medical Research Institute that brings his support of innovative medical research at U-M to a total of $100 million. Overall, he has given more than $142 million to U-M.

Football fundraiser

The U-M football team’s annual spring game takes place at Michigan Stadium in April. Traditionally a free event, the athletic department regularly offers special giveaways to encourage charitable donations for local organizations.
