Education fair April 7 highlights computer-related careers

ANN ARBOR, Mich—Where can people in the Ann Arbor area go to develop skills for a career in Information Technology? The University of Michigan's Center for the Education of Women, funded by a grant from the Intel Corporation, is sponsoring an Education Fair on April 7 to help area residents investigate their educational options. The fair will be held 7-8:30 p.m. at the IT Zone, 330 E. Liberty, near the corner of Liberty and Division streets in downtown Ann Arbor.

The Education Fair is free and open to the public. It offers an opportunity to learn about and compare training options and requirements for jobs in information technology. Representatives from many of the area's higher education institutions, including U-M, Eastern Michigan University, Washtenaw Community College, UM-Dearborn, Cleary University, and Davenport University, will be present to explain their computer-related programs.
