PhotoVoice project puts focus on environmental justice

Detroit Head Start mothers used cameras to capture images in their neighborhood that showed environmental injustices. Environmental justice is the fair treatment of people regardless of race, color, or income with respect to the enforcement of environmental laws and policies. With guidance from U-M faculty and students, the project is intended to create a safer, healthier environment for children.
