UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN NEWS SERVICE SEARCH TIPS
![]()
Here are a few suggestions for searching our site:
Use a little search engine 'math'.
Use "quotation" marks to limit your search. A search for information technology wold be too broad, you may want to try
"information technology" + "database modeling"
A broad search for life sciences would give you too many results.
Add a '+' sign to find all the words you seek:
life + sciences + discoveries
Use a '-' to subtract entries for instance
life + sciences + discoveries - genetics
For a more comprehensive search, go to the University's
home page and do the
search from there: http://www.umich.edu
* the University's primary site gets spidered more comprehensively than internal
sites
If you are looking for an article in a certain publication, add :university record or :michigan today
