A typical football weekend in Ann Arbor draws over 110,000 visitors to the Ann Arbor area. Travel and accommodations can be very difficult. If you plan to visit campus for Parents Weekend 2008, be sure to make hotel reservations as soon as possible.

Hotel Information
Due to the home football game, hotels will fill up several months in advance. As a courtesy to parents who have never experienced Ann Arbor on a football Saturday, we have reserved a limited number of rooms at area hotels.

The hotel spreadsheet is not a complete list of area hotels. For a complete list of area hotels, visit the Ann Arbor Convention and Visitors Bureau website for information about Ann Arbor hotels and local bed and breakfasts in the greater Ann Arbor area. In the likely event that all hotels in Ann Arbor are booked, we recommend that you check the surrounding areas, including Chelsea, Whitmore Lake, Brighton, Milan, Dundee, and Romulus (near Detroit Metro Airport).

For complete information about rooms and availability, contact the hotels directly. The Office of New Student Programs is not responsible for making hotel reservations and cannot assist with any issues related to lack of room availability.

Northwest Airlines, the official airline of Parents Weekend, is pleased to offer discounted airfares. To take advantage of these savings, please call Northwest Meeting Services Registration at 1-800-328-1111 between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. EDT, Monday-Friday. Please refer to World File NYVUR to receive this discount. While Northwest provides these discounts, it does not guarantee the lowest fares. Discounts are based on availability.

Car Rental
Hertz, the official rental car agency of Parents Weekend is pleased to offer its special meeting rate for program participants. Airport Shuttles
There are several shuttle services that travel between Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the University of Michigan's central campus. For detailed information, visit the Ann Arbor Visitor and Convention Bureau website.
