A Visual Journey into Ann Arbor

Welcome to the interactive map and mini tour of Ann Arbor. We recommend that those of you who are unfamiliar with Ann Arbor and first time visitors take the short mini tour.

The interactive map enables you to browse Ann Arbor from an aerial view and click upon buildings of interest. An explanation of each building's history accompanies a color photo of each building, bringing you up to the door steps of Ann Arbor's most popular buildings.

We selected buildings that we felt were most relevant to our research, and a couple extras that had simply fascinating histories. The historical information was found in Marjorie Reade and Susan Wineberg's book Historical Buildings.

The mini tour gives aerial views of the city and is accompanied with a helpful audio. Pictures from the mini tour were taken from Dale Fisher's book Visions of the Eagle and capture some of Ann Arbor's unique charm.

The tour ends with the interactive building map. Enjoy!
