Michigan Theater

Michigan TheaterPops' first concert in March 1996 was performed at the historic Michigan Theater in downtown Ann Arbor. After the first concert, due to financial reasons, Pops moved to the Power Center for a few years. Now, since 2000, Pops is happy to call the Michigan Theater home. The Michigan Theater is a great place for Pops shows, as it supports video, lighting, and special effects, all important parts of Pops programs! The Michigan Theater's capacity is 1700, and Pops continues to get closer to completely filling the house every year.

Power Center for the Performing Arts

After the first concert at the Michigan Theater, Pops performed at the Power Center for the Performing Arts until 2000. Though the venue accomodated Pops' technical requirements, it did not support orchestral sound as well as the Michigan Theater.

Hill Auditorium

Pops performed one concert, "Box Office Blockbusters," at Hill Auditorium in April 2001. While the stage is larger than the Michigan Theater's, the venue doesn't accomodate Pops' antics as well, it is more expensive to rent, and the house is much larger.
