Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose this project?

You should choose this project if:

  • you really like working in a team
  • you have artistic or "creative" inclinations
  • you have some experience with web design
  • you like challenges
  • you want to learn more about Latina/o culture and history in an unconventional way

Do I need experience with web design to do this project?

No, you do not need to know how to design web pages to participate in this project. However, you will be working in teams of 2-3 students so it might be a good idea to make sure that you have at least one person who is familiar with web design on your team!

What sort of technical help is available?

We have a technical advisor familiar with web design software and principles on hand to help students through the process. Our technical advisor will lead web design tutorials one week before each one of your preparatory assignments is due. You may consult with him in person or by email if you have any difficulties with the technical aspects of this project.
