Mr. Valdez made the Big Fish entirely from scrap wood that he
had to
find around the city. He built the fish just down the road in a
little building across from the police station. When the
construction of the fish was completed cranes had to be used to move
the
fish to its current resting place. The fish rests in a bed
of gravel meant to signify water.
