2001 National Convention: San Antonio, TX

The University of Michigan Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association is a student organization that is committed to providing educational opportunities for future choral directors as well as representing the University at regional and national ACDA events. The UM ACDA Chapter sponsors several events each year such as monthly chapter meetings that feature speakers on a wide variety of topics, as well as interactive workshops, trips to ACDA National and Regional Conventions and other symposia, and educational programs such as student-teacher shadowing.  The chapter is overseen by an executive board consisting of a President, Vice President of Programming, Vice President of Publicity, Secretary, Treasurer, and Faculty Advisor. Membership is open to any UM student who has an interest in choral conducting. Fees associated with membership include a yearly registration fee to ACDA (national), which entitles members to discounts at ACDA Events and a monthly subscription to Choral Journal, and nominal member dues paid to the UM chapter.
