Monday, October 22nd: 2nd Annual Allies for Disability Awareness Art Show Opening Reception

Where: Duderstadt Center Gallery
2281 Bonisteel Blvd.
(North Campus)

When: Monday, October 22nd
5pm– 7pm

About: Come out and celebrate the amazing work of artists who are members of or allies to the local disability community. There will be free food and drinks, and live performances by The Dicks and Janes, The G-Men, and violinists Anna Piotrowski & Tina Rowan.

The reception is free and open to the public.

Noon – 6pm

About: Gallery Show:This year's Art Show is a celebration of work created by members of or allies to the local disability community. A diversity of pieces will be exhibited at our show, including both traditional work and a special section for tactile/sensory art, that is, pieces that encourage interaction between art and art show attendees.

Come out and support local artists with disabilities and their allies at our beautiful exhibition!

The Art Show is free and open to the public.

Tuesday, March 27th: First Ever Disability Awareness Flash Mob

Where: Diag, in front of Hatcher Graduate Library
1080 South University Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI 48109

When: Tuesday, March 27th 12:00-1:00 PM

About: ADACO members and volunteers will be giving away t-shirts, buttons, and information regarding disability rights on the UM campus. There will be a 100-person flash mob, music, and a live performance by the student a cappella group, The G-Men.

Thursday, March 29th: Follow-Up Event & Mini-Conference on Disability Studies

Where: 4448 East Hall (EH)

When: Thursday, March 29th 4:00 to 6:00 PM

About: The event will include an intergroup dialogue session among activists, a disability studies academic poster session, and the opportunity to win fabulous door prizes! Free food and drinks will be served!

Rev. Haju Sumin from the Zen Temple will be leading a relaxing yoga and mediation session. FREE, HEALTHY snacks and refreshments will be served! Come relieve some stress before finals!
