Q: What is Alpha Delta Phi?

A: Alpha Delta Phi is national Fraternity that started in 1832 at Hamilton College and our first chapter house in Michigan was in 1846, making us the second oldest chapter on campus. We are composed of people of all race, and all types of different intellectual interests and majors including Art students, Engineers, Business men, Doctors, Psychologists, Architects, Law Students, and much more.

Q2: What are the benefits of joining Alpha Delta Phi?

A: There are many, we’ll just list a few…

• First, the lasting friendships that are created. Your brothers will certainly not be your only friends, but they are likely to be some of your closest. You will live in the same home with them, help each other out in classes, and, of course, hang out together. You will also meets many people on our large campus through our social events and parties, so if you're into meeting new people, you will!!!
• Because many distinguished men have gone before you, and many will come after you, you will have a common bond with those in the professional world, both within and beyond your generation.
• You will also have a home while you're at school, not just a place to live. A place to come back to after your education is over, and a place to enjoy living at while you're here.
• Alpha Delta Phi is involved in all sorts of activities, from Dance Marathon to our annual "Run for the Roses" Charity Pep Rally to benefit Coach Carr Caner Fund. We also have won Greek Week 3 of the last four years, proving how the brothers of A-D-Phi are willing to work together and meet challenges successfully.

Q3: I've never even considered joining a fraternity... why would I consider Alpha Delta Phi? Aren't all fraternities the same?

A: Alpha Delta Phi is remarkable in many ways. We are a diverse group of people, however, allowing our brothers to relate to each other, but have different viewpoints and ideas, allowing us to get "the big picture." There is no certain "type" of brother at A-D-Phi, everyone is their own person, but there is a very strong bond. It's like siblings in real life... You have common bonds to your brothers and sisters, but you can be very different people, too.
