These are certificates sold by AID on behalf of grocery stores
(Kroger and Meijer at this time).
You will purchase certificates from AID and be able to use the full value of the certificates (along with any discounts, etc., that you can normally avail) in the store. 
The store will give you cash back for the unused portion of the certificate.  The grocery store donates a certain percentage of the certificate value to AID. 

Certificates are available in denominations of $10 and $20.
