Hundred
Block Plan

The
Hundred Block Plan has been embraced
by AID chapters as an innovative and exciting way to encourage community
development in India. The plan works by linking chapters in the United
States with blocks in India. However, the plan is for chapters to
be involved in much more than funding. Over the next five to seven
years, AID chapters will help blocks develop programs in the areas
of health, children's education, women's organization, savings and
credit, etc. The Ann Arbor chapter has committed to two blocks, one
in Bihar [Kusheshwar Sthan] and one in Tamil Nadu [Bahoor].
