The Interdisciplinary Workshop in American Politics (IWAP) brings together graduate students and faculty from a number of disciplines in order to discuss research on current and historical issues in American politics. One purpose of the IWAP is to offer graduate students at all stages of study an opportunity to receive feedback on their research from fellow graduate students and faculty members. Graduate students are invited to present a dissertation prospectus, dissertation chapter, fellowship application, conference paper, conference abstract, or any project on which they would like to obtain some feedback (Click here for more information on student presentations). The second purpose of the IWAP is to invite two faculty members from other universities to discuss their work and meet with interested graduate students. These visitors exemplify the study of American politics from an interdisciplinary perspective.
In the Winter 2008 semester our visiting speakers will be Dr. Leonie Huddy (SUNY Stony Brook) and Dr. Michael Dawson (University of Chicago). Click here for more details!
The IWAP is sponsored through a grant from the Rackham School of Graduate Studies. The student coordinators of the workshop are Adam Seth Levine and Yanna Krupnikov; the faculty sponsor is Ted Brader.
