Accepted papers will be given 15-20 minutes for presentation. Final programs will be mailed to participants by the first of October.
MEETING ARRANGEMENTS: All sessions will be held on the
CONFERENCE BANQUET: The annual meeting banquet will be held on Saturday evening at the Alumni House. All participants are invited to hear the presidential address that will be given at the banquet.
RECEPTION: There will be a reception on Friday evening at the University Club library. All are welcome.
INFORMATION UPDATE: Further details, such as the time of a specific event and possible adjustment to the price of the banquet for students and emeriti, will be posted on the AOS website (http://www.umich.edu/~aos). Please check the website before the conference. Information about a softball game open to all conference participants will also be announced at a later point.

The rate is $119 per night and rooms are available for conference participants from 10/9/07 through 10/15/07. Please note that the cut-off date for reservations is 9/28/07. When making reservations, please mention that you are attending the Western Branch Conference of the American Oriental Society to receive the conference rate.
TRAVEL: The John Wayne / Orange County Airport (SNA) is 1 mile (5 minutes) away from the hotel and there is a courtesy shuttle that goes between the airport and the hotel. A shuttle bus that will take conference participants to and from the hotel and the UC-Irvine campus has also been arranged.
