The Center for Chinese Studies (CCS) administers two research grants, the Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies and the Taiwan Fellowship.
The programs are aimed at foreign scholars of the humanities, social sciences and the fields of Chinese or Taiwanese Studies, including professors, associate professors, assistant professors, Ph.D. candidates and researchers at overseas universities and academic institutes, wishing to carry out research in Taiwan for periods between three months and one year. Assistance provided includes a monthly stipend, assistance with research materials, liaison with scholars and institutions in Taiwan, use of CCS facilities, and a direct round-trip economy-class ticket.
The Center is currently accepting applications for the 2015 Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies. All application materials should be posted (electronically or by air mail) no later than May 31st, 2014. We will then notify all applicants of the Selection Committee’s decisions no later than the end of August. Applications for the 2015 Taiwan Fellowship, which CCS administers on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be accepted between May 1st and June 30, 2014.
