ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MIDDLE EASTERN AND ISLAMIC HISTORY
TENURE TRACK, COMMENCING FALL 2008
The successful candidate will be expected to teach three courses per semester, including upper-level courses in his/her area of expertise, as well as contributing each semester to the Gen-Ed 100-level World History surveys. All History faculty also occasionally teach a section of the HIST 201 Historiography requirement.
Ph. D in History required. A.B.D. will be considered with imminent completion date at least one month prior to appointment and appropriate experience.
Faculty members are expected to maintain active participation in research, scholarship, college governance, service, academic advisement and professional development activities.
