From machf@jro.igp.gob.pe Mon Sep 16 07:14 PDT 1996 Well, here's more or less what my card games are about. I originally wrote them with their publication in a local magazine in mind, so they are in Spanish. CARDPAK2 contains: -KLONDIKE: the classic solitaire game. This one was the first completely joystick-driven I wrote. If you don't know the rules, get a printout from the Windows version... that's the faster way ;-) Too lazy to do that? OK, then I'll tell you that the idea is to order all four suits, starting with the aces, which are automatically placed in the proper place. Meanwhile, you can build descending series of alternating colors, placing the lowest-ranging cards over the highest-ranging. Kings can be moved to any free spaces on the table. (sorry, there is no 'undo' feature) START restarts the game with a new shuffle any time you have lost your patience. -CRUEL: also fully joystick-driven. You can also get the rules from the Windows version. Here, the objective is again to re-build the suits. But this time, you can pile the cards in descending order, same suit only, no group moving allowed. You can retrieve the cards and lay them again on the table by groups of 4 by clicking on the "DEAL" ("DAR") button. Again, START is for the frustrated players. -MSWEEPER: this one is in TurboBASIC XL. It's no card game, of course, but a version I wrote of the Windows 'Minesweeper' game. Use the joystick to move around, the firebutton to click on which you consider a safe place, OPTION to mark a 'bomb spot', SELECT to select the difficulty level, START to (re-)start the game. The numbers in each cell tell you how many bombs surround that cell. This game requires a great amount of logic dexterity...
