RussianTutor is a shareware program for Windows 3.1 that teaches the basics of the Russian language. It is not a "phrase" program, but instead focuses on the basic skills that are necessary for a solid foundation for futher study. These skills are not attained through memorization of words and phrases, but instead through the careful study of sounds, inflection, and pronounciation differences. RussianTutor includes such features as: * Seven lessons covering the basics of the Russian language, each with digitized recording of a native Russian speaker. * Use of Media Control Interface (MCI) for all multimedia functions. This allows for use of any multimedia hardware that is MCI-compatible. * Recording of students' voices. The student can compare his or her voice with that of the recordings. * Easy-to-use graphical interface. You will need ToolBook V1.53 or above to run RussianTutor. The runtime version of ToolBook, including the Multimedia extensions, is distributed with RussianTutor. ----- Mike Pearce, Atomic Software, P.O.
