Evan Locey: For years Evan, 27, has been the standard-bearer
for the competition team, Evan has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
since the fall of 1996. He combines his size and strength with excellent
endurance and technical knowledge; definitely a formidable grappler. "Evan
beats me easily." says Matt Jubera. He has traveled to Utah to train
for several weeks with the Pedro Sauer team and for several months of
rigorous training in Brazil with Prof. Sylvio Behring of Winner-Behring
Jiu-Jitsu.

Matt Jubera: The skinny kid who's constantly
improving, Matt Jubera, 21, has given this team the one thing it lacked
even while success was earned in the early years of competition: namely,
a cockiness about their ability to win. David O'Hara medaled in 1999,
in the original Grappler's Quest, but he was gone by the end of the next
year. Evan Locey had a successful run of tournaments in his first year
but given his gentle demeanor, there was always a feeling that the killer
instinct was reserved only for competition. Both are terrific grapplers.
Neither made the team feel like they were dominators. Jubera does.

Glenn Hauk: There is young talent on this team
and Glenn is one of them. With excellent endurance and a highschool wrestling
background, Glenn picked up the submission techniques very quickly. He
continues to win or place in every sport jiu-jitsu or submisssion wrestling
competition he enters, often times facing teammate RJ Williams in the
finals, an indication of how strong the team is in the middleweight divisions.
He has also earned the respect of his peers who appointed him the position
of Competition Team Captain.

RJ Williams: Perhaps the most decorated competitor
on the team RJ has a knack of winning almost every competition he enters.
He uses his wrestling background to great advantage by combining it with
his submission skills to win events from Washington DC to Toronto to Ohio
and Michigan.
