High School Outreach In this age of sportsmanship, the Maize Rage is known as much for its vibrant color as it is for its actions. We the Maize Rage pride ourselves in supporting our team in a positive manner, and strive to put sportsmanship first. Rallying behind your classmates on the court can be an exhilarating experience with many highs and lows. It is important to remember that the cheering section exists because the team exists, and to encourage your team with all your might. Letting your classmates on the court know you support them, and that you will be there, in full force, win or lose, good season or poor – this is what being a student section is all about. The Maize Rage would like to take a role of leadership among student sections in the state of Michigan. As one of the preeminent student organizations for support of basketball, we feel it is our duty to pass along our message of sportsmanship. In addition, the Maize Rage feels that it is our place to provide mentorship to high school student cheering sections. What this means to us is that our organization would be eager to serve as a consultant and mentor to high school student cheering sections who seek the extra edge in making their home court advantage stronger than the rest. The Maize Rage is here to help you make your home court advantage great and classy by encouraging positive fan behavior. The Maize Rage has been known to make surprise appearances at high school games throughout the State and if you receive a letter your school could be on the list to receive the support of the Maize Rage at one or more of your games. On behalf of the Maize Rage, we look forward to hearing your response and working to help you in any way possible in the future.
