Maize Rage
Have you ever been to Crisler Arena? If not, have you ever seen a Michigan basketball game on television? Chances are, if you are reading this, then you have, and you know that the Maize Rage is the student section at home Michigan basketball games. Founded in a down time for Michigan basketball, the Rage has expanded every year since its inception over a decade ago. Not only does the Maize Rage appear at every home basketball game, but we also support other sports at the University of Michigan. Football, hockey, baseball, volleyball, and hockey are just some of the other sports supported by the Maize Rage.
The heart of the Maize Rage, however, is the Superfan. Started in the early 1990's, the Superfan has always been responsible for leading the Maize Rage both in the stands and in the community. Appearing at every major sporting event every season, the Superfan is the face of both the Maize Rage and Wolverines fans in general. Look for the Superfan at Michigan football, basketball, and hockey games.
The original Superfan, Jeff Holzhausen, has a separate website devoted to the Superfan, http://www.michigansuperfan.com. We are currently supporting our tenth Superfan, who is elected each year by the Maize Rage.

All students who purchase season tickets are automatically considered part of the Maize Rage, though there is also the "Core", which is comprised of those members who attend the group's weekly meetings. We meet every Monday night at 7pm, usually in the Michigan League. If you would like to join the email list or have any questions about the Rage, contact Sean Grant at grantsea@umich.edu.

We also have an official Maize Rage Constitution. All legal aspects of the Maize Rage are contained within this document.
