Dental Plan

The Dental Plan offers three coverage choices with differing features: Option 1, Option 2, and Option 3. If you are eligible, you may select the option most suited to your needs.

  • The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (MetLife) administers the Dental Plan. The MetLife Web address is www.metlife.com/Dental.

  • The Dental Plan covers cleanings, exams, and bite-wing x-rays two times in a calendar year for each covered person.
  • No ID card is needed for the Dental Plan. To receive service, give your dentist the MetLife group number for the option in which you are enrolled. The group numbers are:

    Option 1: 84460
    Option 2: 84461
    Option 3: 84462

  • Dental premiums are automatically deducted on a pretax basis.

  • Your dentist can contact MetLife and preauthorize fees for your dental work
  • You can use a Health Care Flexible Spending Account for yourself and your dependents for dental expenses (including orthodontic) beyond what each dental plan covers.
