About Us
The Biomedical Graduate Student Council consists of representatives from each of the disciplines under the auspices of the Program in Biomedical Sciences. We create opportunities for our member departments to work together on service projects and to join together in social activities. We are liaisons between our departments and the council, and we provide support and mentoring for new students.

News
- Relay for Life April 14th, 2007. Our team, The Kwok Walk, raised $4,020 for the American Cancer Society. This amount raised placed us 9th overall in total donations out of over 160 different teams. Our team consisted of some GSC members combined with Dr. Roland Kwok's lab and some friends that decided to join in. Even through the cold and even some snow we still managed to keep walking for most of the 24 hours. Everyone involved had an excellent time.
- DCHS Fundraiser April 17th, 2007. The turnout for our biggest fundraising party of the year was huge! We raised $1350 for Detroit Community High School to provide equipment and funds for science classes. People who came out to the Arena enjoyed playing games on a Wii and a Nintendo 64, talked to their friends and colleagues, dined on appetizers and beer, and won our many prizes, mostly donated from local businesses. Thanks, everyone!
