| The
Kinesiology Alumni Society was formed in 1992 to: |

•
|
promote
the professional and educational advancement of the field of
Kinesiology; |
|
•
|
serve
as a network for graduates; |
|
•
|
support
Kinesiology fundraising efforts; and |
|
•
|
generally
assist the Division of Kinesiology in keeping its curriculum
and educational programs relevant to the needs of practitioners. |
All
persons who have ever been enrolled in Physical Education/Kinesiology,
regardless of graduation status, are viewed as Kinesiology
Alumni Society (KAS) members. There are no membership dues.
The Kinesiology Alumni Society is affiliated with the University of Michigan
Alumni Association.
The KAS
Board meets about three times a year. Its functions include
sponsoring annual Kinesiology events, including the Honors Reception
in March and the Alumni Reunion in the Fall. Each
year the Board selects recipients of the Kinesiology Alumni
Achievement Awards. These three awards, presented at the Alumni
Reunion, include: Lifetime Achievement, Career Achievement,
and Achievement within Ten Years of Graduation. To nominate
