has a comprehensive route network and students, faculty, and staff can ride for free when they show their UM ID card.
There are four Park and Ride
lots where commuters can park their cars for free and shuttle

Bright
purple buses serve 24 stops around Central Campus and downtown
every 6-10 minutes from 7:30am to 6:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:30-11:30pm Friday; and every 10-12 minutes between 11:00am-5:30pm on Saturday. Service
is free for everyone (including the general public) through April 30, 2005! Now students
(and their families) can more easily dine at Main Street eateries
or shop in Kerrytown and the Farmer's Market.
